Where we stand
Responsible AI & Data Use Charter
The principles our studio works by: five provisions, plainly stated.
Transformative Use
Goldfish Games makes original work. Our productions never copy or reproduce the original work of any human artist, or the likeness of any person, unless the studio has obtained explicit permission in writing from the rights holder and offered fair compensation in advance. The proprietary generative tools utilized by our artists are trained on broad artistic traditions and styles to create new artwork according to our studio's own artistic sensibility and original vision. Our training data draws on broad creative registers and consists exclusively of works in the public domain or works used in good-faith accordance with fair-use standards.
Data Accountability
Goldfish Games holds itself accountable for every work its tools learn from. Our training datasets are curated by hand: each work is individually selected, reviewed, and described by a human member of our studio — nothing enters our training data by bulk collection or automation. Before any training occurs, the source of every work and the basis for its use are recorded, and those records are kept for as long as the tools they trained remain in service, so that we can always answer for what our tools have learned. If a work is later found to fall short of the standards of this Charter, we remove it and retrain without it.
Data Stewardship & Output Integrity
Goldfish Games does not collect, store, or process the personal information of third parties. Only original material created by the studio is submitted to third-party AI services; training data is never uploaded. All generated assets undergo human vetting, selection, and finishing by studio artists before inclusion in any production. Before any generative tool enters production use, its outputs are validated according to our strict fair-use standards; tools that fail validation are retrained or retired and never enter production.
Participation & Consent
Goldfish Games does not synthesize the voice, likeness, or performance of any individual without prior and informed written consent and fair compensation. No work created by studio artists or contributors is ever used for generative training without the creator's prior and informed written consent.
Disclosure & Change
Goldfish Games makes full and accurate disclosure of its specific use of generative tools to distribution platforms and business partners in accordance with their policies and applicable law. The studio does not misrepresent the role of generative tools in its productions. This Charter is reviewed as technology, studio practice, and applicable law evolve; amendments are approved by studio leadership, and the current published version governs.
